Peanut Experts

We are becoming peanut experts!  We are learning all the amazing things George Washington Carver invented out of peanuts and sweet potatoes.  What are some things he made out of peanuts?  Please answer by posting a comment.  Share with your family your new knowledge regarding crop rotation, soil, and taking care of plants. 

Flying Pig Marathon

Our class is participating in the Flying Pig Marathon.  Each of us has walked 2 miles.  That's a class total of 44 miles!  We will be walking, jump roping, and using hula hoops 15 minutes twice a week.  Please make sure to wear gym shoes every Tuesday and Thursday.  We will be keeping track of our class miles in the hallway and individual miles in our hog logs from PTA.

Spelling 1/14

This week we are working with compound words.  Compound words are made up of two or more smaller words.  Make sure to practice reading and writing the words daily.  Our spelling test will be Friday.
